Easton PA Restaurant Reviews

These are some of our favorites in the neighborhood for food, cocktails and snacks.

The River Grille
Lunch, Dinner, Cocktails and Martinis
243 Northampton Street
Easton, PA 18042
(610) 923-5110

Located in a community that is seeing a lot of architectural restoration after decades of decline, The River Grille is a welcome change for Easton. Walking into the restaurant is a breathtaking culture shock from the broken sidewalks of Northampton Street into an environment of clean sophistication and luxury not often found outside of New York City. The interior is sleek and modern, dark, romantic and yet warm. The gigantic abstract paintings, marble and wood surfaces, and high ceilings all contribute to a striking design.

The owner not only hired the right architects and designers to set the tone for his new restaurant, but has shown the same care in "designing the food". The menu offerings are creative, modern, eclectic, yet clean and uncomplicated. The presentation of the food fleshes out the contemporary chic style of the establishment while not getting in the way of the customer's enjoyment.

Located around the corner from Julie's and the Crayola on Northampton.

Taste of Thai
Lunch, Dinner, Take-out
123 North 2cnd Street
Easton, PA 18042
(610) 250-6952

Quirky, but fabulous Thai restaurant tucked away on a side street with great prices and great food. The co-owners take pride in their business. The husband, from Virginia with a thick Southern Accent is your host, and the wife from Thailand is your chef. The food was beautifully prepared and I can't wait to go back and sample more items from this menu. For an appetizer and three entrees we were presented a bill for just over $33.00!!! The interior decor is strange, but I have never been into a Thai Restaurant that wasn't. A great choice for take-out or lunch. They are open from 11:00 till 9:00 Wednesday - Sunday.

Located around the corner on Second Street, in the Castle Apartments Building.

Josie's New York Deli
Lunch to Mid Afternoon
14 Centre Square
Easton, PA 18042
(610) 252-5081

Incredibly large and tasty sandwiches at sinfully low prices, Josie's is not to be missed. Where else are you gonna get a huge fresh deli sandwich for $3.40???

Located just across the square from Julie's towards Crayola.

Pearly Baker's Alehouse
Lunch, Dinner, Specialty Beers, Cocktails and Martinis
11 Center Square
Easton, PA 18042
(610) 253-9949

One of the stars of Easton's Square, Pearly's just turned 10 years old this year. Located in a high ceilinged Victorian building with stained glass and a mile long bar, Pearly's is a favorite for families visiting the Crayola Factory.

On a summer day, you can wine and dine on the sidewalk with a view of the monuments, and let the small city life swirl around you and take you in.

Located just across the square from Julie's towards Crayola.

The Purple Cow Creamery
Home-made Ice Cream, Milkshakes
14 S. Bank St
Easton , PA 18042
(610) 252-5081

Home-made ice cream served in a wild and wacky decor, the Purple is our choice when we gotta have that late afternoon pick-me-up!!! This is another one of the Crayola Factory Visitors favorites.

Located in the Bank Street Alley behind Crayola.

The Coffee Works
Gourmet Coffee, Desserts
321 Northampton Street
Easton , PA 18042
(610) 253-9339

Tiny Coffee Shop and Cafe filled with funky artwork and great treats, it is our first choice for those Gourmet Coffee hankerings.

Located on Northampton Street at Bank Street around the corner from Julie's.
