The term Shabby Chic was coined and copyrighted by the Designer Rachel Ashwell.

Shabby Chic style incorporates vintage or antique furniture that gracefully shows it's age with feminine linens and china in rich floral patterns. In Rachel Ashwell's show, she is always seeking out treasures in antique stores and flea markets to include on her latest decorating projects.
